AP Paperless Technologies - San Jose, CA

  07/17/08

Hilton San Jose • San Jose, CA

Senior management expects you to own your process. Yet many times, they don’t realize that AP has no control over when and how you receive invoices, if the supplier provided accurate information for timely processing and/or how long it takes internal approvers and/or procurement to complete their approvals before AP can pay.

The result: accounts payable gets undeservingly blamed and cannot position itself as a direct value-add, vs. only more of a paper pushing function.

In today’s world it is now common that AP is transitioning into a more strategic role by automating processes to gain control and to provide senior management with insight into the real problems and issues. However, it is commonly difficult to know where and how to start!

This seminar will be the first step to educate you on your options for automating incoming invoice receipt and the processing PO & non-PO invoices. In knowing all of your choices you can best prepare for your due diligence and make the right decisions. You won't need to rely on information from vendors looking to sell their solution.

The seminar will cover:
  • How to review your supplier list
  • How to determine if e-Invoicing will solve your problems and if so, how and why
  • Understanding your internal resources and what you might do on your own
  • Approach options: Best in Breed vs. Hybrid
  • How to evaluate a vendor proposal and service/application
  • Ideas for building a senior management presentation and value proposition – building companywide interest and benefits to gain project support

Seminar Schedule:

8:00am - 8:30 — Registration with Continental Breakfast
8:30am - 12:00 — Seminar
12:00 - 1:00 — Lunch (provided)
1:00pm - 4:00 — Seminar continues
