Much of what is done in accounts payable today has been developed in the last 10 years—some of it in the last three years. In addition, automation and Sarbanes-Oxley are causing top management to scrutinize all areas much more closely. As a result, it is much harder today to know, much less prove, that you and your staff have the required knowledge in this fast-paced environment. Most MAP subscribers have kept up but have had few ways to demonstrate their expertise.
