Juniper Networks (Sunnyvale, CA), a leading provider of network communications technology, processes 40,000 invoices per month. Four years ago, the company looked at its invoice processing efficiency and saw high costs and low productivity. A benchmarking initiative within the AP department was started to see where they were with their processes and to focus on opportunities to drive down costs, recalls Dorothea Lopuck, the companys director of accounting services.
