Many Employees Looking to Fly the Coop

More than half (62%) of participants in an online survey said they were actively or passively looking for a new job. Reasons: They were not being compensated fairly (38%), there was a lack of opportunities for professional development or growth in their current organization (34%), and they did not feel valued as an employee (27%). Dissatisfaction with benefits ranked sixth in the reasons why workers were looking elsewhere for jobs, according to Working in America: The Key to Employee Satisfaction, sponsored by Kronos Inc. Approximately 1,223 U.S. employees answered the online survey conducted by Harris Interactive between July 19 and July 27
