7-Year Extension to Net Tax Ban

President Bush signed a seven-year extension of the Internet tax moratorium Oct. 31, a day before the expiration of the current moratorium. The House passed the legislation by a vote of 402-0 on Oct. 30. The law extends the moratorium for seven years, expands the definition of Internet access, and makes changes to the "grandfathering provisions."
