One of the new frontiers for AP is in “contract compliance.” That is, avoiding incorrect payments for contracted goods or services. All kinds of fluky things can happen with contract payments, such as unsubstantiated charges, wrong billing rates, padded reimbursements, extra charges, double charges—well, you get the picture.
