Handling Stale Checks

One of the common issues in AP is how to deal with stale dated checks, including contacting the payees/vendors. In general, a check goes stale six months after it is written or after the negotiable date on the check. Stale dated checks are returned by the bank as "non-negotiable - stale dated."
